Experimental Resolution showcases a collection of artists who currently study at Richmond Upon Thames College (RuTC). The exhibition is free to attend.
The artists present a range of visual language, responding to the theme ‘experimentation’. Their work engages with painting, photography, sculpture, architecture, interior design and graphic design.
Experimentation is a journey into the unknown, driven by imagination and learning. The artists’ respond to the questions: What does experimentation mean in today’s society? How does experimentation shape the artistic process? In a world that fears mistakes, how much room is there for experimentation?
Find out more about the exhibition on the Orleans House Gallery website.
Experimental Resolution is part of a partnership between Richmond Arts Service and Richmond Upon Thames College. Students from UAL Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, Access to HE - Art and Design and HNC Level 4 Graphic Design courses have been working with established artists and sector professionals since February to develop their artistic practice and knowledge of becoming working artists.
The students were given an industry brief to commission a new exhibition for the Stables Gallery responding to the theme ‘experimentation’. This exhibition showcases the students work as part of their final major project. Students have undertaken all roles within producing the exhibition, including creating the marketing, interpretation and project management, as well as producing the artwork.
