Electrical Installation

Our Electrical Installation courses will help students advance their understanding of the techniques and practices used within domestic and commercial settings.  


Learning a trade for which there is high demand, with opportunities to be taken on by a company or work on a self-employed basis.

Students practise the installation of domestic (240V) and industrial (up to 10,000V) wiring and electrical components including circuit breakers, consumer units, lighting and power circuits, in accordance with industry standard regulations.

The courses focus on developing the hands-on use of tools and components to complete real installations and develops your theoretical knowledge of the underpinning maths and science which explain how these systems work.

STEM Centre

Brand new Electrical Installation workshops are currently being built as part of our new STEM Centre, which is due to open in 2024. You can find out more about our campus redevelopment plans here.
