My name is Tay Zar Win, a southeast Asian who was born and raised in the nation of Myanmar, which used to be known as Burma.
I am very much a science and mathematics person, who loves to study and explore different interests.
I decided to study all the science subjects during my International GCSEs in my country and managed to get good grades.
After researching several countries for my further studies, the UK was clearly the most suitable for me. I was amazed by the education system and incredible curriculum on offer here.
I chose to come to Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) as it provides great facilities and opportunities for international students like me. I am particularly impressed with the science lab facilities, which help me to excel and learn in a practical way in my chosen subjects.
College has helped me not only academically but also socially. It has talented teachers and tutors who help students to perform to their greatest potential. I am currently studying A-Levels and chose Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics as my subjects, as these are most relevant to the major I am interested in at university.
After finishing my A-Levels, I am planning to study at one of the medical universities in the UK. I would like to become a doctor in the future, as I’d love to be able to heal people through medicine.
It is such an honour to be one of the international students at RuTC. I believe that I can achieve my best academic qualifications with the help of the brilliant teachers and opportunities here.
