Who is the course for?
The UAL Level 2 Diploma in Fashion, Business and Retail course is for students that are interested in Fashion and are passionate about studying trends, styling and marketing. It has been designed to provide students with an understanding of the fashion and retail industry. It provides an opportunity to develop your creative and communication skills, enabling students to progress to further studies or employment in various fashion and retail disciplines.

Study methods
Visiting exhibitions and retail spaces, physical demonstrations, lectures, collaborative and group discussions, individual presentations, practical activities and some computer based learning.

How is the course assessed?
All formative units are internally assessed including Final Major Project which is externally moderated by UAL. The course is continually assessed against four core units plus four specialist units of study and graded as either a pass, merit or distinction.

Employment opportunities as students may progress directly into entry-level roles in the creative and fashion industries such as retail, visual merchandising, fashion buying and merchandising, marketing, brand management or garment design.

Where Next – Further Studies
The UAL Level 2 Diploma in Fashion Business & Retail is generally delivered over one year and will enable students to develop a portfolio of work that could support progression into a range of qualifications at Level 3. Typically, students will progress to the UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma Applied General in Art & Design subjects.
