Bench joiners are more concerned with producing wooden products such as windows, doors, fitted cupboards etc. which are produced in a workshop. There are also specialised carpenters/joiners who work on film sets, stages, boats etc.
Bench joiners may build staircases or fitted kitchens. Some carpenters/joiners may go on to specialise in restoration work. This course will further develop the skills learnt on a Level 1 carpentry or joinery qualification.

Entry requirements
Minimum Requirements - Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery and GCSE English and Maths at grade 3 or Level 1 Functional Skills.

This course is suiable for students coming from the Level 1 carpentry or joinery qualification and who have a passion for carpentry and joinery.

You will be assessed on individual pieces as well as a practical end test. And there are several on-line exams.
