Last week Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) supported the annual charitable cause, Children in Need, through enrichment events organised by the Early Years department.
On Monday 13th November, there was a college wide pyjama day! For a £1 donation, students and staff could roll out of bed and straight into college to spend the day in their comfy pyjamas. A successful bake sale also ran through lunchtime in the main Atrium area on this day, which Early Years and Supported Learning students baked delicious cakes for.
On Wednesday 15th November, a talent show took place in our Auditorium, which featured student performers from a number of different departments. All staff and students were able to attend and support the performers and Children in Need with a £2 donation. The audience was thoroughly entertained by a range of performances, including Bollywood dancing, singing and guitar playing.
In total, RuTC raised over £300 throughout the week, which will go towards helping children all over the UK thrive and be the best that they can be.
Thank you so much to all that donated to this brilliant cause and to our Early Years department for all their hard work in organising the fundraising events!
