In late November, Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) Music department put on their Winter Music Concert for a busy audience, in our college Auditorium. Ticket sales raised an incredible £250 for their chosen cause, Music for All, a UK charity dedicated to improving access to music-making for disadvantaged individuals.
The performances from Extended Diploma students were a showcase of talent and teamwork, with one of the many highlights being our 1st year students taking the lead on sound engineering and lighting. The cohort delivered an array of energetic group and solo cover performances, that thoroughly entertained audiences.
Students also added an additional two afternoon performances throughout the week for their peers and RuTC staff to enjoy, which is the first time that they have performed a concert three times.
It was a fantastically festive occasion, with our learners having the opportunity to raise funds and the profile of a very important charity. Thank you to all who supported the event, helping to bring the joy of music to more lives across the UK!
