Six Nations and Gaucho Students 2025Across February and March, Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) hosted three events in partnership with GAUCHO restaurants for the Six Nations Rugby Tournament.

The events took place in coordination with the England team’s home games at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham; England v France on the 8th of February, England v Scotland on the 22nd of February and England v Italy on the 9th of March. RuTC students worked alongside GAUCHO staff, under top Chef de partie, Dilshan Wijesekara, to cook for and serve over 700 guests across the three functions.

Six Nations and Gaucho Gavin and GuestsAttendees enjoyed the hospitality of our on-campus restaurant, The View, before making their way over to the nearby stadium to watch the matches. Special guests and speakers at the events included English rugby legends, Mike Brown, Anthony Watson, Neil Back and Kyran Bracken, former French rugby union player, Serge Betsen and former Scottish rugby union player, Craig Chalmers.

The fourteen fabulous Professional Cookery & Hospitality students involved were; Ella Davies, Lucy Wilson, Nancy Shilston, Harriet Fisher, Casey Watson, Brennan Souza, Angel Menezes, David Rutkowski, Lily Stidwell, Tazmin Baker, Andrew Sousa, Rodian Brazhyk, Rafael Read and Elizabeth Grandison. These learners were guided by our brilliant staff team of Daniele Giraud, Ray Wilson-Brooks, James Unwin and Mark Brough.
