On Halloween day, all Travel and Tourism students at Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) took part in a fun and educational visit to the South Bank in London, as part of their course.
During the trip they visited the famous London Eye, and thoroughly enjoyed the ride filled with panoramic views of London. They then walked along the South Bank of the River Thames, enjoying the beautiful scenery, impressive landmarks of London and riverside attractions.
To round off the trip, students visited the bustling Borough Market, where they were able to buy lunch from various food stalls and observe the busy tourist attraction of central London.
Travel & Tourism lecturer, Hannah Talabany commented on the trip:
“As a travel and tourism lecturer, I believe that educational trips are very useful, as they enable students to visit different places and learn how tourist attractions operate, also how they appeal to different types of visitors. Educational trips enrich learners' knowledge and broaden their outlook. We are lucky to have such an iconic, cultural city on our doorstep and this trip was a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn outside of the classroom.”
